Our expert tutors offer personalized SAT preparation to help student achieve their highest possible scores and strengthen their college applications.

Services

We collaborate with community organizations to spread awareness about US scholarships in rural areas and assist students in finding opportunities to pursue their passions

Step 01: Open Application Process

Students can apply for the scholars’ pipeline by submitting the online application before the deadline each year. The application cycle usually ends mid summer (late July). Link to the application will be posted here as well as on our official social media platforms.

Eligible students must,

Be from public school, low-income, or first-generation backgrounds.

Be enrolling in high school, or awaiting UGC admission results.

Show remarkable academic achievement with consistent in-class performance throughout secondary school.

Display a high level of leadership and an excellent extracurricular record, while showing an adequate level of soft skills and personal qualities

Demonstrate commitment towards the Scholars’ Pipeline process

Express a desire to give back and make a positive difference to the Sri Lankan community

Step 02: Application Review and interview Round

The Scholars’ Pipeline application form includes demographic questions, several short-answer questions, and a few short essays about different aspects of your life story. There is a main essay with a range of topics to choose from, which align closely with the Common App essay prompts from previous years.

Portfolio Submission:

Applicants have the opportunity to include an artistic and/or maker portfolio of their choice, along with their resume.

Transcripts:

Pictures of school-issued transcripts or student records are required to proceed to the interview round.

Additional Information:

Further details about the application structure and required documents will be provided when the applications are released.

Initial Review:

Submitted applications will be carefully reviewed based on the stated criteria.
Successful applicants will be shortlisted for the next stage.

Virtual Interview:

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a virtual interview.
The interview will discuss the benefits of being part of The Strivers Network and may include questions similar to those in US college interviews.
It will also be an opportunity for applicants to ask questions about the application process, college life, and beyond.

Final Selection

Following the interviews, the 15-25 strongest applicants will be selected to join the Scholars’ Pipeline.

Step 03: Pipeline Program

A 9-month programme will be initiated to nurture scholars through the US admissions process. We will offer individualized guidance, curated strategies, and personalized research for each scholar at no-cost. 

Orientation

An opportunity for scholars to meet their fellow scholars and to network with The Strivers’ Network. This also includes a brief introduction about the application process and your expectations, and to ask the burning questions about the fascinating journey ahead.

SAT Training

Content coverage, practice sessions, mock tests, registration assistance.

Essay Advising

Creating a narrative, covering writing strategies, proofreading..

Guest Speaker Series

Talks on career guidance, personal journeys, post-graduation, acclimation to different cultures.

Other Guidance

Online sessions discussing strategies when applying, picking a college list, gap-year volunteer/ internship opportunities, financial aid walkthrough.
